3 Body Qigong For Spring- Class Description:
FINALLY! Spring is here, and as we transition into this new season, we will continue our seasonal practice according to Traditional Chinese Medicine. In spring, we focus on the element associated with this time of year, which is wood.
Since we humans are connected to nature, the same wood energy that readies the plants and trees to begin their transition is happening inside of us, too! The energy of wood wants to move outward and get things done. If that energy becomes stuck, the result can be “qi stagnation,” which manifests as anger, irritability, depression, mood swings, poor sleep, migraines, pain, tension, and other symptoms. And where does that get stuck? In the organ associated with spring, THE LIVER (more about this in our lecture/practice class).
The 7-week series for Spring will include new movements to help keep our body and emotions grounded, balanced, and harmonized. In addition to our new spring movements, we will continue with our usual set of body tapping, meridian stretching, energy ball practice, and meditation. This will help us to feel grounded, balanced, peaceful, and in harmony with nature! 3 Body Qigong for Spring is preventive maintenance for the body and mind!
3 Body Qigong Lecture & Practice Class Description:
I will offer a lecture and practice class before we begin our next session. It will focus on learning and practicing the new movements, as well as focusing on some of our standard class movements. I will explain more about how these movements relate to Traditional Chinese Medicine as a source of balancing and harmonizing your energy. I will also include tips on how best to navigate this season through movements, diet, lifestyle, and other tips to keep you happy and healthy.
What is 3 Body Qigong?
3 Body Qigong is a mind/body practice based in Traditional Chinese Medicine, combining Korean Tao, modern Qigong practices, energy healing practices, and sound/music meditation. It combines body tapping, stretching, breath work, and meditation to improve the flow of energy throughout your body. These movements help increase vitality, flexibility, and power on a physical level, as well as bring one to a more peaceful and relaxed state of mind. I hope you will join us and take the leap. These Classes Are For Everyone. All Levels. More info on my website 3bodyha.com
