3 BODY QIGONG FOR LATE SUMMER - Class Description
Summer is slowly fading into the transitional season of late summer. As we continue our seasonal practice of the 5-element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), we begin our next 7-week session, working with the element of EARTH and the organs associated with this season, which are the STOMACH AND SPLEEN. Our stomach and spleen make up our digestive system, which ingests, breaks down food, and transports nutrients to the body. To keep this process balanced and operating well, we will add new movements to help facilitate the flow of energy in our stomach and spleen meridian channels. We will also add our usual movements to offer a fully balanced “PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE” practice.

3 BODY QIGONG FOR LATE SUMMER – Lecture & Practice Class
Prior to our 7 weeks of classes, I will offer a special instructional class that will focus on practicing the new movements for this session, as well as fine-tuning some of our weekly movements. I will explain more about how these movements relate to Traditional Chinese Medicine as a source of balancing and harmonizing your energy. Additionally, I will discuss how best to navigate the late summer season by practicing these new qigong movements, recommending what foods to eat, and lifestyle tips to keep you happy and healthy.

What is 3 Body Qigong?
3 Body Qigong is a mind/body practice based in Traditional Chinese Medicine, combining Korean Tao, modern Qigong practices, energy healing practices, and sound/music meditation. It combines body tapping, stretching, breath work, and meditation to improve energy flow throughout your body. These movements help increase vitality, flexibility, and power on a physical level and bring one to a more peaceful and relaxed state of mind. I hope you will join us and take the leap.
