CLASS DESCRIPTION
As we continue our seasonal practice of the 5-element theory of TCM, we begin working with the element of Earth and the organs associated with this season, which are the STOMACH AND SPLEEN. Just as fire burns to ash and feeds that as nutrients to the earth, our stomach and spleen make up our digestive system, ingesting, breaking down food, and transporting nutrients throughout our body. To keep this process balanced and operating well, our late spring practice will include new movements to help facilitate the flow of energy in our stomach and spleen meridian channels. We will also add our usual movements to offer a fully balanced "preventive maintenance" practice.
LECTURE AND PRACTICE CLASS
This instructional class will focus on learning and practicing the new movements for this session and fine-tuning some of our regular movements. I will also explain more about how these movements relate to Traditional Chinese Medicine as a source of balancing and harmonizing your energy. We will talk about how best to navigate this season through movement, diet, lifestyle, and other tips to keep you happy and healthy.
What is 3 Body Qigong?
3 Body Qigong is a mind/body practice based in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It combines Korean Tao, modern Qigong practices, energy healing practices, and sound/music meditation. It combines body tapping, stretching, breath work, and meditation to improve energy flow throughout the body. These movements help increase vitality, flexibility, and power on a physical level and bring one to a more peaceful and relaxed state of mind. I hope you will join us and take the leap.
