3 BODY QIGONG FOR FALL - Instructional Class Description
Prior to our Fall 7-week practice, I will offer an instructional class to share with you some of the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), including its seasonal practices and the reasons behind specific qigong movements. During the Fall season, we focus on supporting and harmonizing the Lungs (Yin) and Large Intestine (Yang)—the organ systems associated with this time of year, as well as the element of Metal.
You will also receive practical guidance for navigating the transition from Late Summer into Fall, including:
Qigong movements to support balance and well-being for the Fall season
Foods that are especially beneficial at this time of year
Lifestyle practices to help maintain a healthy body and peaceful mind
Ways to adapt your daily practices as the energy of the season changes
This special class will give you a deeper understanding of why we practice these movements and how you can incorporate them into your daily life to support greater balance, harmony, and well-being throughout the Fall.
3 BODY QIGONG FOR FALL - Class Description
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), each season has a unique relationship with specific organs and energies in the body. Fall is associated with the Lungs and Large Intestine, which are thought to be particularly sensitive to the changing energy of the season.
As we transition into Fall, it is an ideal time to slow down, turn inward, and support our body and energy through this seasonal change. Stress, emotional strain, and exhaustion can all contribute to an imbalance or stagnation of Qi, affecting how we feel both physically and emotionally.
Our 7-week Fall seasonal practice will introduce new qigong movements specifically chosen to help support, balance, and harmonize the Lungs and Large Intestine. These movements will help us connect with the energy of the Fall season while cultivating greater balance, vitality, and inner peace.
Throughout the seven weeks, we will also continue to refine and deepen the movements we have already learned. Together, these practices will create a complete Fall preventive-maintenance practice designed to support a healthy body, balanced energy, and peaceful mind.
This seasonal practice is an opportunity for you to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and prepare your body and mind for the months ahead.
